 Enclosed Track Speargun

 


The KOAH Marksmen was designed to Satisfy Four objectives

 Each Marksmen is constructed with four laminates of high quality Burmese Teak or 4 laminates of Exotic woods in stock. Both are epoxied with Marine grade West Systems Epoxy to ensure the gun never de-laminates  

•  Each track is shaped and poured with microfiber reinforced epoxy and mixed with West Systems graphite and other compounds to create the smoothest, fastest track possible.

- The enclosed track is the most effective part of the Koah Marksmen. All tracks are cut .030 over sized to guarantee the heavier 5/16 shaft has just enough move room to prevent any hang ups as its guided through the track -

The Muzzle is custom shaped and can be modified to handle up to 4 5/8 band holes or two 3/4 band holes or even 2 5/8 and one 3/4 band holes.  

 Every KOAH Marksmen has been ballasted to be center balanced to minimize re-coil and give you a more controled shot.

  REAR Handle Plus / MID Handle Marksmen

For maximum band stretch and central pivoting

The KOAH Mid Handle and Rear Handle plus guns were built thanks to customer demand for a smooth tracking, accurate gun with maximum band stretch power. The speargun pictured here is a rear handle plus, the Mid Handle's handle position is located another 2" - 5" up the gun depending on customer preference.

 
The Mid Handle's unique center handle position allows spearfisherman to piviot and swing the gun with little effort for fish that catch you off guard or are on the run. The rear Trigger Mechinism position gives the user and extra 6"-8" of band stretch to help get the most out of your Koah Marksmen

-Standard Marksmen Fatback-

New wider, more balanced design

Built with many of the same qualities as the traditional Marksmen... and then some. It's main purpose was to give the rear handle plus/mid handle guns more mass to the rear of the gun to assist in eliminating re-coil. Like the traditional Marksmen, it is weight ballasted/balanced, trimmed down and rounded in the middle for easy tracking. The muzzle was taken out and since the gun is equally thick at the front and rear of the gun, adding two spare shafts isn't a problem.

The KOAH Fatback will deliver the optimum balance of mobility, power, tracking and accuracy while minimizing recoil everytime you fire.

- KOAH BLUEWATER -

Enclosed Track 60"-70" 4-5 Bands

A beefier version of the original, the Bluewater is built for power. Keeping the slim profile it tracks with ease and with 4-5 5/8 in front, it has the power to punch through a running pelagic or large tuna. Re-coil is reduced by larger lead ballast deposits in the front and rear of the gun.

- KOAH SHORTIE -

Enclosed Track 38"-40" Rear Handle

The KOAH Shortie is like the pistol in spearfishing. Its easy to carry, packs a huge punch for a smaller speargun, and can get into holes other guns cannot. The shortie is a two band speargun... either 5/8 or 3/4 inch bands. It has an effective range of 12-14 ft and makes a great gun for shooting hogs and snapper while lobster diving.

The KOAH Shortie's trigger mech and handle is placed at the absolute rear of the gun to get as much power as possible out of a smaller gun while maintaining the same dead on accuracy of the standard Marksmen. All Shortie's are rear ballasted and come with all the standard features as the other KOAH models.

KOAH CLICK -N- FIRE

The Click n Fire model was built to satisfy one shooter's specific need to change over from free shaft to line shaft in under 5 Seconds.

Here is the best part of the gun. In the picture you can see how the gun is rigged when it is set up for freeshafting. The titanium mini-clip is held in place by a short anchor. The loop of the clip is a very specific length so that it will loop over the line release. In freeshafting mode, this loop prevents the line release from moving forward and losing the line upon pulling the trigger. The line stays nice and tight and right in position. Pull the trigger all you want and the shaft still reloads quickly with no stringing of the line. You can also see in the picture that the shaft is a standard Riffe style shaft but with a small loop of mono in the front line hole. This loop is the connection point for the titanium clip to make it a lineshaft.

When you pull the clip off the anchor it will also pull the loop off the line release at the same time and in the same single motion. You can then clip it on to the shaft mono loop like in the picture below. When both bands are loaded on this loop tab, the pressure from the wishbone, holds the mono loop straight up and solid so you don’t need a 2nd hand to hold the loop still for clipping onto.
